On Weight Loss
This is to Quack or Ladykwak. You stated that you have been having problems with weight loss. I did too til I decided to do something about it. No, I didn't go on any fad diets, I chose to do it healthy. I bought me some Weight Watchers cookbooks, Big Loser Cookbooks, and I used the Fat Smash Diet. I started out at 211 lbs and now I'm at a 167 lbs. I am still trying to lose some more weight to get down a little more to a healthy weight. I also exercise, that is one of the most important things to do. I either walk outside, get on my stepper( you can do this while watching TV), put on a Richard Simmons exerise tape to get in shape. You don't have to do a long regimen, just about 30 minutes a day is a good start. I still have the temptations to want the stuff I can't eat, but if you find yourself craving for that chocalate or other sweet, try raw veggies, or get some sugarfree desserts. I don't try to eat many of those. Drinking lots of water or sugar free drinks can help curb your appetite. But just stay with it, don't get discouraged. You may not lose fast but you will feel better when you get there. I know it's going to be a long process, a life long way of life since I know I have a problem with food. I just keep thinking of that girl 30 yrs ago who weighed about 115 lbs, and then I think of what I was at 211 lbs. I don't want to be that 211 lb girl again. And I also see how others see me now, I see heads turn and I have had a lot of wonderful comments on my weight loss. And it makes me feel good about myself which I haven't felt for a long time. You don't have to deprive yourself from eating well, you can still eat healthy and lose weight. And the main thing is to learn to eat in moderation and in small portions.
