I'm Proud To Be Adopted!

There are so many couples who can't have children out there and so many teenage girls who get pregnant each year. Many years ago women who got pregnant outside of marriage would go out in the "woods" to have abortions or give birth or go to a doctor who illegally did abortions. The subject was never talked about, it was a thing swept under the rug. Some were sent away to a Home for Unwed Mothers to have their babies but told relatives and friends that their daughter had gone away to live with their "aunts and uncles" or whoever til after the birth.

Now, you see girls keeping their children and going on welfare and living with their parents for their parents to raise their children for them. And they keep on having them, many of them can't afford them but they keep on having him. And many of these babies have different fathers! Have they ever heard of birth control?!

There are many couples like I mentioned earlier who can't have any children but are desperately seeking and wanting them. These girls who get pregnant, and many of them can't afford them or don't really want to raise them, why don't they give these babies up for adoption?

I am glad that the woman who gave birth to me didn't have an abortion. I'm proud to be adopted. I'm thankful to have had 2 wonderful parents who couldn't have children of their own and decided to adopt their children. We need more families adopting, and less teenage pregnancies. These girls aren't ready for parenthood, they can't afford them. They expect the government to pay for them. Why not give their babies a real chance and give them to parents who can afford them and love them? If they made it harder so that welfare didn't pay for teenage pregnancies, then maybe there would be a drastic end to a lot of it.
